Thank you for visiting Dress-up Furzedown.  As part of the Furzedown Festival this year we are inviting you to take the festival to the streets and decorate your home and surrounding area.   During the weeks before and after Furzedown in the Park on 19th June it would be lovely to see the area bursting with colour and creativity to celebrate our community and festival.  This website has ideas for things you can make to decorate your home and street from bunting flags to hang outside your windows, front doors, fences and balconies to plastic bag and knitted creations to adorn your trees, hedges and anywhere else you think needs a little cheering up!

On 5th June we wil have a free drop-in workshop at the Furzedown Project running from 3pm to 6pm.  Local artists and crafters will be on hand to show you how to make bunting from recycled fabric, knitted graffiti and decorations from plastic bags for you to take away and decorate your home.  Materials and tools are provided, but donations of plastic carrier bags and scrap fabric would be very welcome.  All ages are welcome.  This workshop is part of Makeover Moyser, an afternoon of fun and games along Moyser Road on 5th June.

We would love to see your decorations too, so tell us about your decorations in the comments section of this website.  And do email us your photos and we will upload them onto the Furzedown Festival site, or you can upload them directly onto theFurzedown Community Network website.

Have fun and look forward to seeing you on 5th June and at the Festival!
